 Some
people think the ride in our Antonov AN-2 aircraft is worth the
price of the trip. The AN-2 built in Poland is one of the top ten
aircraft produced in the world. Its safety record is superb. The
aircraft was designed for rural applications moving passengers and
cargo in and out remote areas. The aircraft can literally take of
or land in less the length of a football field. The extreme amount
of lift created by the bi-wing design and its leading edge slats
allows the aircraft to be operated at speeds as low as 30 miles
per hour. The aircraft is powered by a 1000 hp Curtis Wright radial
engine.
 The
aircraft is maintained according to strict commercial standards.
Our mechanics are factory trained and certified. The Pilots are
high time pilots all with many hours of flight time in this type
of operation. They have been trained by former airline pilots that
flew the AN-2s through out Europe and Russia for years.
To look at the aircraft some may think it is an antique from the
past. Not at all true. The aircraft is still being produced in Japan
today. The aircraft we fly are newer than most of the commercial
aircraft in the US.
